From 1st October 2023, anyone who has their blood taken as part of an NHS Health Check for 40 to 74-year-olds will now routinely be tested for HIV in City and Hackney, unless they opt out.

Diagnosing HIV means that someone can access medication and care that helps them live a long and healthy life. The medication is incredibly effective and prevents passing on the virus to someone else.

If you do not need a blood test as part of your NHS Health Check but do want to be tested for HIV, please let a member of staff know during your NHS Health Check. Results are completely confidential. Find out more: https://fasttrackcities.london/healthcheck
